Higher education is, at present, grappling with the twin challenges of integrating research and innovation (R&I) into its teaching process.
When R&I becomes central to higher education, the system starts generating original thinkers and analytical minds who can think rationally, innovate and also guide the communities around them to progress, eventually forming and strengthening a knowledge society for India.
The purpose of this conference is to identify our efforts in building the above ecosystem.
Specifically:
1) Discuss and analyse the weaknesses of the current higher education system to find out the stumbling blocks in the way of R&I.
2) Evaluate various ways to remove these hurdles.
3) Evaluate where the present facilities lack - enlighten on the gaps in research culture.
4) Establish a blueprint of the proposed system that addresses these concerns.
5) Make a roadmap that aims to clearly lay down steps to inculcate a research mindset among students.
6) Discuss ways to promote a culture of entrepreneurship.
7) Evaluate ways to align these objectives with the broader vision of the National Education Policy 2020.
